5axis router programming

in 5 axis swarf programming do I select wear and left/right compensation or is this shut off and the stock to leave on wall surfaces used to control edge of cut?

You do want to select what side of the wall you want to be on relative to cut direction, otherwise it drives down the center of that wall plus any stock to leve.

It really depends on how you grabbed the chains and which direction you are cutting. Do you have a sample file you can share with what you are talking about??

Here is an issue in swarf 5 axis my cutter at -185 deg limit rapids up and out at the same time hitting the part. In the NC file I added a Z height to clear the part and another Z0 to bring it back to original Z height but I need to create a lead in so it does not damage the hardware. The custom post for the router does not provide this option

 

Does anyone have any suggestions

I would use a different toolpath like curve 5 axis where you can control the vector of the tool. I would also look to using a curve 5 axis toolpath to control your tool coming in and out of the part. If you got a sample or file you can share I or someone else can show you.
