Ahoy!

 

Anyone know the M code to unlock and lock the tailstock for towing?

Bruce, try these. What is the machine?

 

These are for Daewoo...

 

M46 extends the traction bar and unclamps the tailstock.

 

M47 retracts the traction bar and clamps the tailstock body.

 

M78 and M79 are the quill forward and retract commands.

 

M31 allows the tailstock to move with the spindle turning.

 

 

And these are for Mori Seiki....

 

M12 Tailstock reverse

M13 Tailstock forward

M25 Tail stock clamp

M26 Tail stock unclamp

It's an Ecoca MC-208.

 

I have tried all the empty M codes in the manufacturers book and nothing happens.

Bruce,

 

On some machine the turret has to be "in place" before the tail stock will release. You might look for the lines on both and make sure they are lined up and then try the release codes.

I found the M code for this. It comes in the form of a 30mm spanner to undo the MANUAL clamp.
