Surface rough pocket bug?

Hey folks, one of our programmers seem to have stumbled upon a bug in X2 MR2. When writing a surface rough pocket program with a chamfer mill cutter the program is ignoring the stock left on the vertical walls. If I copy the program and change the cutter to a bullnose style cutter it works fine. Has anyone come across this and reported it to QC yet? If not, I'll send it in. I'd post the MCX file but the FTP appears to be down for maintenance.

Thanks,

Neil.

Neil,

Look at thread at the very top, CADCAM's FTP

On the tool path, I could be wrong but I don't think it will calculate for a chamfer mill, it will calculate the tool path based on the nose diameter. That is going to cause HUGE issues as you are seeing.

flat, bull, ball only I believe

Neil,

If you believe it is a bug send it into qc and see what they say.

I suspect they are going to reply it functions as designed but then perhaps you could make it an enhancement request.
