hi kccadcam,

i usually call fanuc usa for my fanuc control.

248-377-7592 for a local michigan office.

as far as yasnac goes,

i deal with yaskawa/yasnac in the chicago/rockford illinois area.

847-887-7000

they are a little hard to understand, because of the language barrier, but they do a good job of solving your problem.

The problem with going to Fanuc USA is you are getting RAPED right up the you know where!

Yasnac is pretty much the same.

Fanucworld is usually less than half the price on rebuilt components and they are good to work with.

How many PC based controls are you guys seeing out in industry lately?

It seems like the monopoly should be easy to topple with all the power of the new PC's coming out. Just on the basis of memory prices alone!

Yes and no. WHen it comes to stability in a shop-floor environment I'd have to side with the "F". Yes you pay up the wazzoo, but.... I still prefer Fanuc. BTW the shop I work for we have Cinci's with the Vickers A210 Controls, I'll just say "They dont like hot places" and leave it at that instead of going on my usual tirade against that P.O.S. control wink.gifwink.gif
