Ron, I don't have that control, but if it is like other Okuma controls Fine boring should be:

G76 X Y Z R Q P F

Where Q is shift at the bottom of the hole and P is dwell. If you use Q then you need to know which direction the machine is going to shift [which is defined in the NC Optional Parameters somewhere]; if you don't have that book you can always put in a huge Q value and run something in the air to see which way the machine's going to move.

In the [slightly] newer controls you can use:

G76 X Y Z R I J P F

where I and J are incremental shift amounts, to relieve yourself of the "which way is it going to shift?" problem. Not sure if your control does this but I'd guess it does.

Crazy^Millman,

I've done a post with options for each quadrant,

and it seems you got it the same way.

My options were I+ or - J+ or -

(and a retract value)

Using IJK values you can retract in any plane.

You can combine for example I+1 and J+1 to get a 45 degree move.

If you use Q instead there is a parameter setting.

I've got some documentation, but all in swedish.
