Make sure that you have Autodesk Inventor View installed and working. That was an issue with me before but it was tied in to the vault.

When opening a file, when you change the file type to .ipt click on options right by the green check mark then look at the area that says Import select Trimmed Surfaces. And then give it a go.

In X3 the model come in just wire frame for me too I just have to click the shaded button to bring up the solid.

I am having problems with X3 and X2MR2Sp1 opening either Inventor 2008 Pro or Inventor 2009 Pro files as IPT type files. When I convert them to IGES or STP then there are other issues.

I am using Inventor software and there for do/can not load the Inventor View software.

Any fix or is this a bug?

Thanks

Well,

Did you try to play with the settings?

I open .ipt files all day long all the time and I have no problems.

So it must be somthing your doing.

Did you install X3 and migrate?

I did a first and it was all messed up and nothing would work, for lathe or mill. I uninstalled and reinstalled with out migrating and it work perfectly.
