X3 HSM holder protection message

Can the message about the fact that "there may be left over material because of holder protection"

be suppressed?

 

In X2 you could at least tell you not to show that message again. I'd like to suppress it all together if possible.

I hate popup messages while generating/regenerating an operation. IMO they should always go to a file or to the event log, but never interrupt the process.

I talked to Rob at CNC and he said there is no way to suppress the message. How disappointing! That little message is a big waste of time.

 

We used to be able to walk away from the computer and let it process now we have to babysit mastercam. Maybe this is part of the "any 6 year old can do it mentality." Because they think that we're not smart enough to know that if we tell it not let the holder hit there might be some places that don't get cut with that tool.

There is a setting in system config under screen where you can set to send the waring to the screen and log or just the log.

There is a new setting in X3 that should help out a little. It won't help on the first time through but any regens shouldn't allow any pop-up messages.

 

Configuration/Screen/Report toolpath error messages and set to "Log file only".
