Advanced Multiaxis Interface?

I am using the Advanced Multiaxis toolpaths more and am tired of the waitng for the interface window to refresh when changing tabs, I have tried all of the graphics settings that I can think of to help with this problem.

Specificially the tab for gouge checking takes 3-5 seconds to regen every time you click on it.

Look at my sig. for system specs. video driver version 6.14.11.6265, setting for Solidworks used.

Not too sure what to tell MC QC to get my point across.

Just going to take a stab here so bear with me...

I have my Graphics System set for "Performance"m

I use the Windows "Classic" theme.

I set my transitions to "No Delay"..

With these settings I don't have anywhere near 5 second delays for the Advanced Multi-Ax stuff, and I use them often.

Ummmmm, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. If I can think of anything else I'll throw it out there.

How do you have your Quadro card configured? We run the Quadros at work and they run great. Do you have the solidworks profile enabled? This drastically improves the Graphics performance of Mastercam. Also, there is a 'disable front buffer' setting (something like that) in the screen section of the Configuration file. Make sure that box is not checked...

If you run Mastercam on a really slow computer,

you'll see that the Advanced Multiaxis stuff is

really a chook.

On a good computer it launches so fast you can't see that.

The first thing I'd check is to make sure

that the chook folder is properly mapped

on the Files page of Screen Config.

Real time virus scanning can also slow AM launch

down as all the chook files get scanned everything you open a paramenter page.

You should try running the benchmark file and find out if your PC is really slow. If so no amount of tweaking settings will help. I'd consider over 12 minutes slow. Search for the benchmark thread and follow instructions to run the sample file. If considerbaly under 12 minutes then something else is causing this.
