nci 2 apt and tool set lengths values

Hello All,

Where can I find tool-set-length values in nci?

Does MC put such parameter value in nci?

Or do I have to add holder length and overall length parameters?

I think you'll need to use the "Overall" field

on the Define Tool page..

That is the field you must use for gage length

programming with Mastercam's gen5X post.

Try this... set is to 9.9999, post some NCI

and search the NCI file for 9.999

The OAL comes up in the second field of NCI register 20007

Thanks for the info. It would be nice if Mastercam puts a seperate 20-thousands parameter just for tool-set length where use can put this value and having such capability the tool-path simulation stays good and true to actual conditions.

I guess I have to add the holder length and overall length parameters inside the post until mastercam comes with a better solution.
