How do I use G61.1 effectively on a Variaxis 630?

When I need to use high accuracy mode then I add it right after I call my TLO:

According to the manual, you may further control it by assigning K with a % preduction value ( I have never had a reason to try that yet). Don't forget to cancel it with a G64.

One more thing... The manual says that you can not use G61.1 when using dynamic comp (G54.2). Not true, you could use dynamic comp and high accuracy mode @ the same time. This is for Matrix control BTW.

Thanks. But the problem I'm having is that without G61.1 the program cuts corners off the parts and makes a mess, with G61.1 on the program cuts the parts correct but way to slow. Is there a way to adjust the speeds and feeds G61.1 uses?

Check your manual for info on F1 parameter...

If its simple geometry also may consider the

G8 P1..option.

I've changed the F1 parameter and now it runs fast with hardly any slow down, but it only ran like this for about 6hours now I'm getting alarm #2 "trouble has occured in the hardware" . Anyone see that alarm before?

Try rebooting the machine yet? Did the alarm re-appear?

yeah It keeps coming back even after powering off the machine and rebooting

Definitely call Mazak to find out what is happening. The alarm may not necessarily be related to your changes.

T get G61.1 to work properly you will have to change a number of perameters. What there values are is not defined by Mazak but rather your particular application. In you parameters book look to F1, F2, L74, L75, L76, +. We have had similar problems with our 510CIIs, 5000 anad 4800s. Agree with reseller contact recommendation. Wish I could have been of more help.

Open them in V9 and save them, then open them in X³
