I have a program that I am running on a prolight cnc mill and I have been having the same problem when using mastercam produced code. Every once in a while when doing radius' I get the error "NC code error-R>-:Radius too small for motion"

has anybody ever had this problem? How do i fix it?

Not sure what a Prolight CNC is, but it sounds like there is a limit to the smallest size rad the control will accept and MC is spitting out a rad smaller than that. Can you tell from the error what the rad size is? Can you find out what the control's smallest acceptable rad is? If so, we can probably help you.

Can you be more specific?

You create a circle that is .370 diameter. Then you cut it with a contour toolpath? What size cutter? Are you using cutter comp? What type of comp? Using lead in/out? What values?

Can you post sample code that shows the .3725 number?

After creating the circle, if you analyze it, how big is it?

stock to leave ???

if you profram a .376 corner with 3/4 cutter , everything works great

add a .002 stock to leave , then master cam post a .374 rad with a .75 dia tool without any warning

but the machine will give you an radius compensation error fot this !!!
