Agie wire

Hi Guys. It's been a while.

Doe's anyone in Mastercam land have or use a Agie

wire. If so. Is it as dumb as it appears or am I?

The operator tells me you can not just cut a straight line, that everything needs to be a closed loop. Yes? No? Thanks

It was a long time ago , but the agie I ran would cut a straight line....but you had to have lead in and lead out for the offset to make a transition...or cut with no comp and make the comp built into the program. Like I said , it was about a decade ago when I ran one and not even sure what model machine it was, I bow to the better knowledge of some of the other experts here.

it's possible to cut with open and close contour

I never had a problem cutting a strait line. on a classic.
