Backplot view flips using WCS

Using X3, I'm using WCS and whenever I try to backplot my operations the view flips sideways.

 

It is VERY annoying to have to rotate the part all the time and then rotate back after backplot.

 

The tool plane still shows right and in verify the orientation is correct just like in the main view.

I've opened old files that are setup the same way but do not act like this.

 

Is it a setting I'm missing?

 

X3 does this and also the Beta MU1

 

I don't have any other versions installed to check at this point.

Have you tried just running an out of the box config ??

I pretty much have mine set up like the default

config and havent seen this.

Check the simulate rotary axis in backplot settings?

 

That might be it.

Go into

 

Settings >> Config >> backplot and uncheck Simulate Rotary Axis and/or Simulate Axis Substitution

yup, that was it.

 

Not sure how it got checked though.

 

I certainly didn't do it. I guess it's a default but I'm not sure why it would be.
