5 Axis post

Hi all,

 

I tried using 5 Axis post but i got these messages. Please show me what I need to fix.

 

<0> - Report created.

<2> - Initialize posting log file

<2> - Using MP run version 11.00 and post components version 10.00

<2> - Initiate opening the post processor file(s).

<2> - Post processor file name: C:MCAMXMILLPOSTSFANUC TTH.PST

<2> - The post processor file failed to open.

<2> - The application has been aborted!

I saw this error today, it was a rights issue on the computer. The individual had admin rights but was logged into a different computer on the network and did not have the same level of rights.

 

Make sure you have read/write access to the MCAM folder.

Tony the Mastercam post won't run in Catia.

Yeah, you are right John. I logged in my computer under my name.

 

Cadcam: lol... I know what you mean. However, I am learning MasterCam beside Catia. Something in MasterCam is better than Catia and in return. It is not hard for me to catch up 3, 4 Axis in Mastercam but I have still struggled with 5 Axis in Mastercam.

Today, I still got an another error even though I logged in under administrator name like this

There's a missing piece to the post. You'll need the same name file as your "pst" file but is will have a "psb" file extension.

Most 5 axis posts have two files, a .PST and a .PSB. The "PSB" file is encrypted and contains most of the 5 axis math routines.

your pst file and your psb file must be in the

same folder and have EXACTLY the same filename

 

my5xpost.pst

my5xpost.psb

is good

 

my 5xpost.pst

my5xpost.psb

will not run

 

what part of Cailifornia are you in??

Today, I got another problem while generating NC code from 5 Axis post.

That means that the way your machine is defined, (rotary limits set in the machine definition) it cannot make the move you are requesting.

I tried many ways even deleted the old program and created a new one but I still got same problem. It was weird because it worked for another 5 Axis program but not the one I have been working.

 

I really need NC code to run the parts outside.
