VIEWS OUT OF WHACK

Good Morning,

 

I have seemed to manage to screw my views up with view manager. In Mill I was trying to create a plane for B220 by using geometry. Now my ISO view displays when I hit the TOP Gview green icon. Can someone tell me how to get this back.

You probably have ISO set to your WCS...

 

Open the view manager, select what ever your starting WCS is (TOP or FRONT or something you created by geometry) and hit the "=" button. This sets your WCS, Cplane, and Tplane to that selected view.

 

Now go back to the graphics window and choose top view to check.

 

The easiest way to create those indexing planes is to start from your "B0" WCS, and use the "Planes - Rotate planes" function. For rotary output you don't want your WCS to change, just your tool plane. Mastercam will automatically calculate the correct angle of rotation...
