Guys,

 

I just stumbled across this thread and the one linked to it... We are working on some Level Manager improvements for X4 right now so we have a programmer in the code and working on it.

 

The problem can only be fixed IF we can make it happen it here. What we need are some clues as how to duplicate it.

 

Can anyone give me a sequence of steps that duplicate the problem on a regular basis?

I used to get this after tranlating or rotating

a large number of enities or really large solids.

It acted like the undo buffer was taking up all the system resourses. Only a Mastercam resart would fix it.

 

I've got my undo buffer turned down to 10 meg now

and don't have this probelm. I'm also running the

latest X3 beta and they may have already solved it.

Wish i knew what makes it work and what makes it not work.

 

When it happens the only way i know how to fix it is to reopen.

 

If someone is working on the code it seems like they would have more of a clue

After reading gcodes reasoning,

 

I may have scaled a large number of entities and then tried changing levels. I'll try later today on my next part and see what happens.

 

I'll try to remember what I was working on when it happened last week and try it again.
