Installation problem

I am trying to install X3 on a new computer, and it tells me "MSXML 6.0 failed to install properly", and wont finish the install wizard. I have installed it on 2 other computers (several times) and never saw this. New system is XP64, Xeon 3370. Anyone seen or heard of this before?

Make sure you have the 64 bit download file and installed. Not sure this is the problem but make sure you have it installed.

what is the sourse of your X3 files?

This was a problem during the beta cycle

but it was resolved??

If you are installing off the X3 disc you should be OK.. If you're using the web download, it

may not be checking for prerequist files.

Check out the Support page.. there is an install

you must do for XPx64 systems before installing X3

Yeah G I forgot you have to install that file first then install X3.

Toolman and gcode- I am getting the vcredist file now, but it never gets far enough to see that error. This is install from CD, and it tries to install the MSXML file, fails to get it done, then goes no farther... I will try installing the vcredist file and see if that helps.

Make sure you install the vcredist first, then install X3. You might want to check and see if you have ADMIN rights like Todd said.

You guys are great! The vcredist and admin did the trick....somehow, I have restricted my own access and must log in as admin...lol! whatever- it STARTED!
