Solid to 2D profile only really works if you move your part back to the system origin. It does not play well with WCS...

 

Also, it doesn't handle under cut geometry when it does the revolution. If you want wireframe to drive, use Create | Curve | Slice

 

Pick your slicing plane, pick the solid, hit "apply", then press ok...

Here is another thought. I make a lot of shaft/rotors for stm turbines. I bring the solidworks solid in, under your solids tab at the bottom of the column is solid layout this feature makes a 2-d drawing out of you solid. It also gives you the option of which view you would like. If you happen to pick 3view ansi you just pick and delete the views you do not want.
