imported toolpaths

in the past i have exported a number of toolpaths to use as templates for other parts. i now find that i would like to modify some of the parameters in these source operations and delete a few of them entirely, but i can't seem to do either. what am i missing? running X2 MR2 SP1

import your ops change what you need then re export

doing that (at least the way i did it) creates a new source operation - does not overwrite the existing one.

 

also still not able to delete source operations.

did you try opening the .operations file itself

right click /explore/ ops folder/ double click on the op and MC should open it up for edit

i had tried that method before but hit a road block in getting the ops operation file to open properly. but that suggestion sparked a new approach - opened a second session of mastercam and opened the ops file directly from the 'file open' drop down which allowed me to edit.

glad i got you pointed in the right direction then

In the ops manager under machine group properties, click Files, then click the "!" next to your operations library. In there, you can edit, copy, paste, delete, etc. When you exit out, your library will be saved. You can also edit your defaults file and tool library the same way.
