2nd machine group or second post

Good Morning

I have an application that requires two post processors, this is a Fanuc 310 series dual processing control.

My questions is do you think it is easier or faster to just create another machine type with the second post in it, and have and second group, or just choose another post.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for but, X+ allows you to change the Post on the fly without having to change it by editing the control definition so the procedure is much faster.

Yeah, but having to flip back and forth would be a pain...

 

Especially if you come back to the file months later...

 

Just add an additional Machine Group. Create two separate MD/CD files that point to different posts and be done.

 

The only exception would be if you wanted to post the same toolpaths with different posts, then I would use Justin's suggestion and use X+ to just post it out with two different posts...

 

Make any sense?
