Customization to X+ Toollist & Setup sheet

Greetings All,

 

We use the X+ toollist and really like it but I wish it could be configured like the setup sheet. What I mean is, I would like the option to turn off certain fields since some data is not useful to us during setup.

 

Does anyone know how to do this?

 

Also, I would prefer to remove the logo from the setup sheet & tool list, can we do this too?

I dont know about question #1, but look in your mcamx3 directory for logo.png. I replaced mine with our company logo, but I assume you can just delete it from the directory and nothing will show up.

If you go to the setup sheet toolpath parameters (bottom half of the page)and highlight the field you don't want to use and then use the red arrow button in the middle column that will work.

Yes, deleting LOGO.PNG does remove the logo from the setup sheet. THANK YOU!

I appreciate your reply but I want to remove fields from the tool list, not the setup sheet. The tool list is a separate application (tlist.dll) and from what I can see it cannot be modified like the setup sheet, I wish it could.

 

I am hope that there is a way.

 

It's our goal to use the toollist for only tool setup and the setup sheet for a process layout so that operaters can understand how the part is processed.

Dave,

 

To get rid of columns in the tool list, go to the top of the page and drag the unneeded column over until it's gone. It will not display or print. It also saves to registry so it will remember it next time you make a tool list.

That only seems to move them to them to the far right, it does not remove them.

IE: Lets say that you did not require "shldr length". Go up to the bar and grab the column line and drag it to the left so that the column is reduced in size to zero.

Yes, that does it, I was going the wrong way. The only issue I see with this is hitting the <<>> button and needing to redo it. But it least it's a solution.

Go to right side of the top menu and select Settings > Toolbar States. On the right side of the dialog box(Show these toolbars), scroll down to X+ and check the box.

Sorry to sound like a bozo, but X+ is not in the list....I should have better asked the question, how do you get it in the list?

Hello Dave,

 

Settings > Customize > Category X+

 

At this point just drag an icon onto the screen and then rename the toolbar that you just created to X+

I am looking for a way to modify the data in the X+ tool list. Mine is defaulted to output only 2 decimal places in cut dia column. I see in the screen shot above that Mike has 3 decimal places. I would like 4, is there a way that i can make this change?

Yes, X+ gets the decimal places from here but I wish it did not since my checks printed from our ERP now have 4 decimal places when making this change. I wish it was a setting in X+ but for free it's a great add on!!!

I am just starting to use X+ also for X4 is there still a way to take out the logo.png? I cannot find the that file.

Yes,

 

logo.png is located in the MCAMX directory, just delete it or replace it with a logo you want to use (name it logo.png)

Yes, I use it to change the colors and sizes of the colums. Works great for HTML.

Hows about a little sample CSS code demonstration for all of us to see? For example .. controlling the column height. Am unclear as how to access control over them, in the tool list and the main setup sheet.
