Good Ethernet cable from the Thermwood to the network switch? Can you ping the Thermwood control from the PC. Is the folder still shared on the Thermwood?

All Power On? Check connections? If it worked yesterday, but not today, try rebooting.

Does the machine have its own IP address, and if so, was it changed?

Hi Maria,

 

Most Thermwoods that we have connected are some variety of Windows OS that connect to the PC network via a standard ethernet connection. The shortcut to Data on Thermwood error that you are receiving could also be caused by a user rights issue between the PC you are using for data transfer and the CNC. Once you establish that the cabling, network hub/switch, NIC card are functioning properly via a ping test or visual lights on the nic,hub - you can then try a browse to that 'pc' from network neighborhood and use the network credntials required to access the share.
