  1. Hi Daniel, You will need Mori Server software for that machine http://en.dmgmori.com/products/software/mori-server Steve
  2. Hi Rob, There is no option to print comments with a highlight. You could set the comment colour to Red and turn off the modal colours. When you print the comments will be in red and all other text would be in black. The programmers are working on printing for multi channel view. Hopefuly it will work in a future release. Send screen shots of what you want to [email protected]
  3. Hi Mick, DNC-Max has a directory monitor protocol port for monitoring shared folders on the network. Its best if you set up a shared "transfer" directory on the Okuma. Any files placed in this shared folder are detected by DNC-Max and transferred to the Machine Directory on the server. You can also place a remote request program in the shared folder and DNC-Max will send back the requested program. The remote request can also come from the bar code reader. I have set a few Mazak Matrix controls (running win2000) using this method but I havnt done an Okuma yet. Email [email protected] and one of the engineers will answer. Out of interest DNC-Max also has a directory monitor port that uses FTP for the transfer. This can be used with Fanuc embedded ports or Data Server if its fitted. Steve
  4. A problem with dual monitors that were running different resolutions was fixed recentley. This fix is not available in the OEM version though. Send me a mail at steveatcimcodotdk and I will point you in the right direction.
  5. htm01 - its part of the latest version of CIMCO Edit Professional. 3 axis mill and lathe programs are supported.
  6. CIMCO Edit can also do it Backplot - Export as DXF. Trial version available from www.cimco-software.com
  7. When the file is closed the file type is remembered for that file. Open the file, change the file type to Post and then close the file using the x. If you double click on a pst file and it has not been opened before in Cimco it should open with file type you have defined in the setup. I prefer letter colours with Lathe work and modal colours with Mill. What preferences do other people have?
  8. Cimco Edit Pro supports backplot of G68.2 code now. Need some feedback on it if you want to give it a go. Need to make sure we have our Euler angles correct. If you download the latest version and set the backplot control to Fanuc milling and load C:CIMCOCIMCOEdit5SamplesFanuc MillG68.2 cube.nc There is also an STL file of the finished part in the same directory that you can load using Backplot- load STL. We had a couple of reports of STL files looking too big in the backplot window when Windows is set to US region that I hope to get fixed soon. We are also starting to support G43.4/5, Macro B (not system variables) and suprograms.
  9. Dprnt outputs to the serial port only I think. Are you trying to save the Dprnt text ouput to the hard disk on the controller?
  10. TNCremo is a great program. In Mick's case all the other machines (Fanuc, Okuma etc) are set up so that the operator scans a bar code to select the machine and then a bar code for the job number or program and DNC-Max will que up the program ready for the operator to press the input button. TNCremo supports ethernet transfer to the Heidenhain but you have to do it from the PC. The advantage of using NFS or Windows networking is that you get a "mounted" drive on the TNC program manager. The operator can then just copy the files over from the mounted drive to the TNC. This gives you a bit more control over what files the operator has access to. Anyone here using TNCremoPlus? I would be interested in seeing some screen shots.
  11. Hi Mick, If you want to use Rs232 I would set the control to FE mode and use the Heidenhain FE protocol in DNC-Max. All transfers are done at the control. You can also use EXT mode but you may need to change the MP parameters. EXT mode works with the standard protocol in DNC-Max. If I had a 530 I would be using the Ethernet and CIMCO NFS. This works well with the directory monitor protocol in DNC-Max and allows for instant file transfers.
  12. Good Ethernet cable from the Thermwood to the network switch? Can you ping the Thermwood control from the PC. Is the folder still shared on the Thermwood?
  13. Cimco Edit relies on a dll from Mastercam to check for the presence of the Mastercam Hasp. If you are using a Nethasp Cimco can "time out" waiting for the dll to return the Nethasp number. If you continue to have problems we can supply a key file and then you do not rely on the presence of the Nethasp to run Cimco.
