Find smallest arc

Is three a way to find the smallest arc on a part

finding the samllest complete circle is fine

but can the smallest radius be found

I don't know of one, so I made one.

 

On the user FTP site in the C-hooks folder you'll find ArcSize.ZIP

It reports on the Min/Max Radius found by looking at all the Arcs in the current geometry selection set. It only looks at 2D arcs, not splines or surfaces, etc.

Though it did appear to report proper information in my (limited) testing.

Powermill has and awesome feature that you are asking for. It will highlight all the surfaces/faces with the smallest radius. I have not found a feature in MCAM that will do what you are asking.

The arc size dll gives the error recompile for

a version number - but a work around is to

select all arcs and copy them to a new level

then close arcs and create a hole table

ArcSize.dll is old and will not be updated.

 

Depending on which version of X you're running, (X3 or X4) you can get the same info using Arc MultiEdit available on the forum FTP for each versions.
