The first thing I do to Dell workstations

is remove the Dell video drivers and

replace them with drivers from Nvidia

I don't know why, but Dell's Quadro

driver suck.. ( I'm assuming your new

Dell has a Quadro video card)

First I'd smack IT for buying ATI ... biggrin.gif

then ( as previously suggested)

try

Settings/Config/Screen and make sure

Open GL and "disable front buffer"

are selected

You'll need to restart X3 for these changes to take effect..

If that doesn't work, I'd go to

SolidWorks Support and download and install the

SolidWorks recommended driver for your video card.

As a last resort you can try enabling

the "disable hardware acceleration"

but that would suck cause in effect, you're

turning off that fancy video card IT bought for you.

The best solution (IMO) would be to get IT to talk

Dell into swapping out that ATI card for a

Quadro..

Some people have good luck with Mastercam/ATI,

but most run Nvidia cards... for good reason...

Maybe an ATI guy can jump in with some better

suggestions ????

The drivers from ATI did the trick

I guess Dell's ATI drivers are just as jacked

up as Dell's Nvidia drivers

make sure you don't let Windows Auto update

do video drivers.. It might roll you right

back into the problem you just solved.. biggrin.gif
