MCX3 from Mc9 - How do i get rid of the G28U.0W.0G G50X20.Z20 at the beginning of the file ? It normally starts out GOT2O2 and then G97.... or whatever tool your starting with ????? I finally figured out how to get rid of the G54 and then i get this.It does't like the G54 command either. The lathe it a Hardinge Conquest-42

In your post in the pheader #Start of file section, find a line that looks like:

"/G28 U0", e$

"/G28 W0", e$

It may not be exactly like them in your post.

and

 

sg50 or "G50"

 

Put ane of these # at the start of the line and try posting again.

 

before you do it make a copy of your pst file.

So you are moving from V9 to X3? Your post was working fine but now it isn't?

 

You shouldn't need to do any post editing if this is the case. You probably had some default Miscellanous Integers set in V9 that aren't set in X3...

 

Usually Misc. Integer #1 controls the format of the startup/toolchange info.

 

Make a backup of your post before starting. Then go in Mastercam to File > Edit/Open External.

 

Browse to your posts folder and open your post file.

 

Now read the header of the post. There are usually notes in the header that describe the functionality of the Miscellanous Integers and how the post writer has set them up.
