Machine offsets at begining of program?

10 years ago I ran a Mori Seiki SH-50 3 machine pallet pull. I vaguely remember how it functioned. I was just an operator back then. Anyways, when a pallet would get sent to a machine, it would download the program to the machine at that time. There were lines at the beginning of the program that when read would change the offsets in the machine. If you had to make an adjustment for an offset (say you had to shift X .003 for P3) you would change the it at the beginning of the program.

Long story short, How would you do that?

quote:

...The P0 would be g54, p1 g55, and so on...

L2 is Common Offsets (G54-G59)

P0 changes your Common Offset(G53)

P1 Changes G54

...

P6 Changes G59

L20 is Extended Offsets (G54.1P1 - P300)

P1 changes G54.1 P1

...

P300 Changes G54.1P300

Tool Offsets and parameters can be done as well.

(L10 = TOOL LENGTH OFFSETS )

(L11 = TOOL LENGTH WEAR OFFSETS )

(L12 = TOOL DIAMETER OFFSETS )

(L13 = TOOl DIAMETER WEAR OFFSETS )

(P1 = H1 - H WEAR 1 - D1 - D WEAR 1 )

(P2 = H2... ETC )

(R = VALUE )

)

(SAMPLE USES POSITIVE TOOL LENGTHS = )

(DISTANCE BETWEEN FACE OF SPINDLE... )

(... AND TIP OF TOOL )
