horizontal toolpath issue

When I backplot this radial milling, it does the first two locations fine, then this:

It is a simple 3 pl, 120 deg. apart pattern, but why does it appear to plough through the part? The posted G code looks OK, but I have not tried it yet. X3 with MU1, also does the same on the demo at home.

Thanks

They were transformed. Also I had rotary axis enabled, and checked 3 axis. The first toolpath the part spun properly, then not so much on the next two. I have heard recently that there are issues with transformed toolpaths, but that was with Mirror which is easy enough to get around. "Rotate" is a necessity.

Thanks, Jay.

Simulate axis rotation/substitution checked on backplot?

I have had this happen also in backplot, but the code works fine in the machine without gouging. After spending hours checking all kinds of things, I finally went out and ran it and everything was cool.

Now, i usually don't worry about it. Try checking the program in the machine. If too long, try simple contour or drill and rotate the same way, pop in the machine and see!
