Engraving Stick Fonts

Hi,

 

I am trying to engrave some stick font letters. Which tool path are you using? I have tried engraving and contour. I tried turning off the comp on the contour path but when I verify it shows it offset.

 

I am using a 90 deg chamfer mill and want to follow the center of the line.

what did you have to do? if you don't mind telling.

Contour with comp type set to off and lead in/out turned off also.

 

I usually use a #0 or #1 centerdrill.

He chamfered the block before the engraving, then when he went to do the engraving it was still having the contour type as 2d chamfer, switching it back to 2d fixed the problem.
