Leave your WSC at Top (or whatever the rest of the set is set to)

Make a toolplane normal to the hole

and use the regular threadmill cycle.

The post should output a point to point

toolpath.. You should also check the "linerarize

helix" box and set the value to something

appropriate to the size of thread you are milling

Yes..make sure the Z axis of the Normal

tool plane is pointing up towards the spindle

just like Top does.. the Z pointing down will give you some really wicked gcode if your post

doesn't have axis travel limits properly defined.

 

a note of caution...

put a point at the origin of your file..

after using geometry to define a toolplane

click the white arrow and pick the origin point.

99% of the time you should see nothing but zeros

when you click on the Named Planes page.

If a toolpane is showing a non zero origin

the posted code will most likely be very wrong.

This assumes that the origin of your WCS is 0,0,0
