MasterCam X3 running slowly

Shut down Mastercam. go into windows explorer and navigate to the mcamx/common/temp folder. If there are any files in there you should delete them. This is where mastercam stores some files during a crash. If Mastercam is not running, this folder should be empty.

Sometimes the mcamx/common/temp folder can get quite large. We might need more detail. Is it slow on all files? Even a simple one? Is it slow right away when you start a new file, or is it only after you have been working with the file for a while?

Try the cc cleaner program. I have 9 class room computers and after a few months, they are so loaded up with student practice files and other temp files, that Mastercam sometimes slows to a crawl.
