Update Post problem

I'm having a problem with the Update Post C-hook.

 

When I try to run it I get a "mastercam.exe -Entry Point Not Found" error.

 

The error text says "The procedure entry point ?copyfile@@YAXPBD0PAD@Z could not be located int the dynamic link library MCCore.dll"

 

This happened to me before and I ran the install program with the repair option. That took care of the problem last time but it's not working this time.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I haven't a clue. I would suggest contacting your reseller.

Entry point errors usually mean the wrong version of a DLL is being used. without knowing much about your system and install it could be simply a pat issue pointing to the wrong version of updatepost. Check your config paths and make sure everything is pointing to where you installed X4.

Thanks for the help. Sorry for the delay in the response but I just got back to work.

 

Somehow my settings were directing me to the X3 directories and not the X4. I can't figure out how it changed because I know it worked the first time after the re-install.

Did you copy your X3 config file into your X4 install??

I have seen a fair deal of these errors, all completely unreproducible, the only thing I have found to clean them out it to uninstall, delete the installation folder, reboot and reinstall. Without fail this has cleaned all the ones I have seen.

 

I spent a good deal of time trying to track the different .dlls that are referenced, all without success.
