First I heard of this. The Multi Axis suite in Mastercam was created by Cimatron?

I believe the advanced 5-axis stuff is from Module Works. Not sure about the other 5-axis paths.

No, as stated above its developed by ModuleWorks who supply the same toolpaths to a load of other software companies (including Cimatron).

There is simply no way a small shop can justify or even pay for Vericut!!! Just no way.

 

Machsim is all the rage these days for Mastercam if you ask me. It will work with mastercam X2, X3, X4 and you can get it right now at the emastercam FTP site under add-ons. If you do want it to verify posted code, you can write the simulator commands inside the post that posts your gcode. This way you are sure to catch those posted errors. All for pennies compared to Vericut.

 

If you want to take machsim one step further, Camaix offers g-code simulation for it.

I didn't see a Machsim in the X2 addons folder. Is the X4 version backwards compatible?
