Status Bar disappeared ...

I experienced this on my Win 7 dual monitor

setup this weekend.

If I run X4 on my main Windows screen all is well..

move it to the secondary screen the text in the

bottom left corner doesn't show up.

I got it going again though.

I put X4 on my secondary screen, hit the

"restore down" key in the upper right corner,

drug the smaller window around a little

to resize it, then maximized ... and all was well.

I believe this is a Win 7/Nvidia issue, not

a Mastercam problem

What did you do to your system? biggrin.gif Or should I ask what did your IT geek do to it? biggrin.giftongue.gif

I forgot to mention, on my systems, I am the admin. I have all rights, and ALL ownership at ALL times. I've worked on clamped down/limited systems(even slightly limited) before and that was definitely a problem.

How about going into the registry and deleting the CNC Software keys and restarting MCAM and let it build new settings?

Regedit

under HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software

Delete the CNC Software key

Then under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Software

Delete the CNC Software Key

:Disclaimer:

IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE IN THE REGISTRY THIS IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. A MISTAKE COULD REQUIRE A COMPLETE SYSTEM RESTORE.

I read the tread seemed like there was a chance this was causing your behavior problem, "no, I only have the status bar when MINIMIZED ... it disappears OR goes below my monitor screen ..."

What part of mastercam ever shows when minimized?(other than the task bar item)Thought is may have been a terminology issue..Sorry

I have had to delete registry keys when funky stuff like this happens to other users here. In Windows 7 click start/ type regedit in search box

Networked???

Even if your machine is new when you log on to the network(domain) your previous user information comes into the registry (remote registry) if you have the option try logging into the machine locally.

and open MCAM to see if same behavior exists.

Good luck!
