Can't post my flowline pic problem because...

I formatted a brand new hard drive recently and

now when I hit print screen and paste it into

Paint every thing is black except text??

This pic is supposed to be a mastercam window

an even the outline what we see over the black

is not part of the MC window but of a word doc

underneath MC?

.

black.jpg

I know I put a new driver in but not the very latest.

Any one have any ideas how to fix this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rick

Rick my PC must have been the one right behind yours on the production line..

You have to go into MC properties

(Task bar / icon /right click) and play with

the settings / Modes.

When I had the screen capture show up it made verify Black. So I set it back the way it was.

and now go into .cfg and turn the geo background White,

Get my screen shot, paste it. then turn ny background black again.

Goldorac, doesent work in any software.

Tony, it does matter if MC is open, same crud.

Evil, Xp pro

Jim, I'll try that.

For now, I rebooted and tried to print screen the

default desktop back round and I get a paint error..

'error getting the clipboard data'

hit ok, then I get..

'there is not enough memory resources to complete operation, close some programs and try it again,

I had noting else running??

Calling all nerds, calling all nerds...

keep the ideas coming

for now I will try the new quadro drivers and see if that helps

Thanks

I like it because it only copies the geomerty and not the ops manager or the toolbars. [big Grin]

Jim,

Mastercam should not be copying the operation manager or the toolbars. Are you using the printscreen command INSIDE Mastercam?

Go to top of screen and click on SCREEN then click on COPY IMAGE TO CLIPBOARD (way down on the bottom) then hit escape to include everything on the screen. This automatically excludes the operation manager and the toolbars and only includes what is in the screen window. Then open Paint or whatever you are using and hit Paste. Should work good. I have, at times received the same error message that Rickster is getting now,

quote:

error getting the clipboard data'

'there is not enough memory resources to complete operation, close some programs and try it again,

The only way I have been able to overcome this is by rebooting and that has always solved it for me.

Jason,

No, I was referring to the normal Windows keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Print Scrn).

I always thought the printscreen command inside of Mastercam was the same thing, so I always just used the keyboard shortcut.

I guess we do learn something new every day! wink.gif

Anyway, the Verisurf utility launches Paint and pastes the image automatically, so that's the one I've become accustomed to using.

Saving a click here and there adds up! cheers.gif
