nvidia quadro drivers

Do I have to unistall the old driver before

installing the latest

 

i noticed that in the nvidia folder there is a sub folder for the latest and the old one??

Rick, no you don't, it creates a new folder based on the version number being installed

I always uninstall the old before installing the new drivers...back in the early V9 days this was

mandatory or you could get some pretty sketchy

results.

Nowdays NVIDIA installs are about as bulletproof

as software gets, but I still uninstall the old,

,reboot, shut off my AV software, then install the new drivers.

Upgradeitis can be a slippery off camber slope to travel on. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

New one works flawlessly and stopped a flicker that

I had when opening certain windows.

It stopped my "Drifting" in verify turbo mode.

No one else seem to have that problem but me anyway.

With all the computer problems you've had lately I highly recommend storing yours in an explosion proof box in case they start to grenade on you.

FYI,

 

All, and I mean all...(cept the lag/delays)...

my problems are gone. Stable as a 4" nail used as

a hanger.
