datum shift problem!

Good morning guys...

I am facing a problem and was wondering if someone knows how i can go around it.

in Operation manager

usually i have one machine group and under it i have several toolpath groups.

now what happened is that i was trying to shift the working coordinate system for say, OP2, by 6" in the Y axis. So i go to

toolpath parameter

planes

and input 6" in the y (for example)

 

now automatically all operations in TOOLPATH GROUPE OP2 changed the datum accordingly... which is what is required... however at the same time, all other toolpath groups did the same!!! which is not required. I tried creating another machine groupe and do it, but same thing as soon as i make change to the datum, thats it... everything changed in all groups.. .how can i prevent it from doing this and only change the operations in the toolpath group where the change took place? i hope i made sense..

any help would be appreciated guys.

I don't think I have enough caffeine in my system to completely overview your situation, but what if you created a 2nd WCS for OP2 and just used that?

Go to the View Manager and make a copy

of the toolplane you need to shift.

Add your Y+6 shift.

Now go to the operation you want to move and change the toolplne to the new shifted one.

You used to able to do this back in V9 and I've requested this (very useful) functionality to come back into X
