Mastercam9 to Mastercam X4 same post?

Once again I come to the fountain of knowledge for a drink! I have been one of those hard headed people who stayed with version 9 and now Im finally changing to X4. I'm liking it so far (working through a tutorial book).I do have one question tho! I use a custom post for our Mazak vtc 20b and I have it named Mazak.pst . Do i use this same post in X4 and if so do I need to move it to a specific file?? I use generic communication software were i post the program to a file and then feed from that file via ethernet

run update post, it that dosnt suit. download the MPmaster.pst with mach def from inhouse. rock solid pst for Mazak's minor tweaks for custom output but it's all there

You can TRY to update it and create the needed Machine Def and Control Def, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it working. You mentioned "Custom" post another strike. Check the thread at the top of the thread on updating files. Will probably need to have help getting it working. JM2C

Thanks guys! Todd, I said custom because i remember the reseller we use had to tweak our original post to make it work. We pay the maintenance on our software so I wonder if i sent them my Version 9 post if they would tweak me one for versionX?

I think following Maydays advice about the MPMaster from InHouse and having your reseller tweak it would be even better.
