Having a problem running long programs on an Anilam 6000I control. Have mill hooked up along with a robot. If we want to run all weekend it will lose itself. Seems there is not enough ram. Not windows based software. Is made by Heidinhein. Was wondering if anybody else had similar problem and if so what you did to help solve the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Heidenhain has a free program called CDS Lite.

 

I believe you can 'drip feed' the program from the computer to the control once the memory buffer in the control is full.

 

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that will work.

There is BTR function in Heidenhan.

Thanks, but the only CDS Lite program I can find is for backing up files.

 

What is BTR function and how does it work?

 

I could call Anilam but they are very slow with response time.

BTR is an acronym for Behind the Tape Reader.

 

It is usually a tape emulator box, we use them for our Okuma OSP3000 controls.

Heidenhain has a free program called TNCremo,

Run TNCserver.exe and pick your .h file.
