Ok I have ask for help before and I really need someone to take my post and thoroughly check it out. I DON'T KNOW HOW!! only seeing problems when running, verify doesn't catch it. Crashed a tool last night. Would it be beneficial to get the Vericut to check G codes?

I can't afford as many tools as we are breaking because of a post problem. I am relying souly on other peoples help.

Am I a little bitter PROBABLY! banghead.gifbanghead.gif

I have sent my post to my reseller but it took him a long time to even to look at it and then I just ask someone else and they helped me,but I don't have that kind of time. Sorry if this doesn't make to much sense email me and I will answer any questions you might have.

Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

Jeff..

you aren't giving us enough info to help.

Your problem may not be a post issue..

Many times when an endmill crashed and doesn't show in Verify its because Verify shows

rapids as a straight line and most machine tools dogleg rapid.

Go out to your machine and MDI

G0 G91 X12. Y6.

Most machines will run at 45° to X6 Y6 then straight to X12. This is a dogleg rapid.

Mastercam backplot and Verify show this move

as a straight line.

If you've got a clamp at X6 Y6 its going to hurt.

This is a frequent cause of real life crashes that don't show up in cartoon land.

Ok I understand that. Probably a lot of frustration on my part. SORRY

what it is doing is the post is posting out a rapid z move 503.mm above the part Which is not common it is only set at 50mm above the part. I have looked at the program and it IS set correctly. I am seeing this code when I open the NC file. I know it is not the machine.

Fat finger syndrome..

entering 50.

"3" is the key above "."

so the results are 503. biggrin.gif

don't see why that would break a tool..

machine should just shut down with an overtravel alarm headscratch.gif

look at the bright side.. this problem was

WAY easier to fix than a post issue smile.gif
