CNC mill leasing?

Does anyone know who leases 5-axis CNC milling machines? We are in Texas.

Most dealers and business banks offer lease packages.. They are really purchases, just called leases for tax purposes.

I've never heard of actually renting a machine

for some months or a year to clean up a backlog

of work.

We've done it a couple of times for specific projects. However, they were used machines with very simple installs. IE haas vf2's and 2 axis lathes.

They rent machines around here. All used I think. (Normal CNC machines). Such a glut of used machines, I suspect it made sense for dealers. Some people think you should lease from a local company in case you end up in court...

If your company was profitable last year, purchasing would be a better way to go. You can depreciate most of the machine on the first year's taxes (still paying the same amount, but you have a machine for the $$ vs giving it to the gov)

 

You can get a $1 buy out lease quite easily, but you are pretty much buying the machine like above.
