  3. look up SPINNER machine tools. a very accurate well built german machine. Our company just started representing them. spinners are on the same playing field as DMG. 3 control choices, siemens 840d, heidenhain, fanuc. the siemens and heidenhein both have strong programming software in them.

  7. This is a new DMG HSC 55. linear 5 axis machine.
  8. the machine does know what the surface is,you wrote the toolpath in mastercam then the control comps away from the surface based on the tools geometry. (dia, radius and corner radius).
  9. hi travis, you can use comp with machines that can utilize it. on my DMG i can write a multiaxis program in mastercam useing control as my compensation, then call up any other ball endmill in the machine and it will run the program without re-posting.This feature is called T.C.P. (tool center point management) it is activated with M128 called out in the code.
  10. It does work with mastercam, but it is not supported.
  11. this could be done using curve 5 ax.
  12. Are you saying that you want the part tilted @ the angle of the light blue line, then cut along the dark blue line?

  17. tom, after looking at the file i have this question. is that the way it is set up in the machine? you need to have the file set up in mastercam X,Y,Z locations the same as they are in the machine.
