That's a wide range for a 5axis 'grammer

Pay depends on the location, cost of living, skill level of applicant, etc. I have multiple job orders across the USA and I also work with 3-4 axis Mill programmers as well as single and twin spindle/ twin turret lathe programmers, Swiss as well.

Right now I have a few spots in the North East, A few in the Southern States, Chicago area, and California.

 

At the same time, everybody has different skill sets and each company looks for different things. I do my best to find out the skills, and intangibles of my candidate as well as their motivations and what they are looking for and also send candidates based on the parameters of the position to my clients.

 

I don't send apples for oranges and am very specific to the industry. If a person is strong whether it be 5 Axis, Single or Twin Spindle Lathe, Swiss or EDM I can market people like that and sometimes open doors that create positions.
