Solidworks 2003

Has anybody tried to convert a file from the new Solidworks 2003???

I think it's a newer version of parasolids.

Mastercam only goes to version 13.2

Will we see a patch on this??

You can be sure you'll see a patch. As for when.... who knows. Possibly in V9.1. I'll ask.

Upon further investigation:

Solidworks is working with Parasolids 14

yeh 9.1`s got v14 listed in the version drop down box

Hi Kevin

 

Mastercam 9.1 Beta will import SW2003 files since they both support upto Parasolids V14.

 

Since 9.1 is not going to be ready today, it will be wise to make a request to QC to see if they can create an APP or patch for Parasolids V14 import into Mastercam.

 

Otherwise, you will have to write the file out from SW2003 as a Parasolids file with V13 as the output format.

cadcam's ftp site listed above has a sw2003 converter for mastercam 9

do a search on this we have a sw2003 chook that lets us convert solidworks 2003 parasolis v14 to mcam 9. sp1 untill v9.1 comes out works great maybr product dev guy can help you with this as he did us thanks again pdg
