Lathe Controllers

We are looking at buying a new vertical lathe. One of the two we are considering has a Fanuc O-T controller and the other has a Fanuc 18T controller. I was wondering if anyone had any input on plusses and minuses of these two controllers or where I might be able to find a good comparison. We use Mastercam for 95% of lathe programming so a lot of features will go unused anyway. Thanks for any help.

I have a 0T and I wish I would have bought a different one.

Go with the 18T.

The 0T is slow and is not too user friendly.

Whne I say slow,just processing speed in general,searching a large file, and ect.

I've used an 18t on a big Ikegai and thought it was pretty user friendly.

I'd take the 18t as well. You have way more memory capability, faster processor, etc... ad infinitum.
