How to books for Mastercam

I just recently purchased Mastercam,and am wondering if there are other books out there to show how to use Mastercam? Someone suggested one called CNC programming handbook,by Peter Smid.By the way the manual which comes with it doesn't show a whole lot.

As Corey suggested, there is a "books" link on this site. You may also try using the forum "search" feature using "books" or the like as your keyword as this topic has been discussed, at length, in this forum over the past year.

 

As a new customer, I'm sure your reseller will be of considerable help (they may also cut you a deal on training classes).

Aonther couple fo books worth mentioning are the Scholars Book (Available through your reseller) and the Mastercam Tutorial Books Volume 1 and Volume 2 (Also available through your reseller).

 

I think the Mastercam one is a better how/why, whereas the Scholars book is a better book for the sheer volume of information. Some problems with the Scholars book, some tutorials cannot be accomplished if you follow the directions strictly, thus you'll need to do some tinkering to get it to work right.

Peter Smid's book is probably the best one on the market to learn G-code programming and CNC theory, but it has nothing to do with Mastercam.

Sorry about the shameless plug, but look at the Mastercam Handbook Vol1 and Vol2. Try them you'll like them.

These books are my favorites. The In-House Books are good too and a bit less pricey.
