XFORM-SQUASH

When using a custome WCS, and trying to XFORM/SQUASH entities, they always go in the wrong direction, by a value other than that specified, even when using USE CONSTRUCTION DEPTH. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this a bug?

I don't know, I do this quite a bit and it seems to work for me as long as you don't move your origin. Make sure your cplane is set to top if your referencing another wcs. I will look at it closer tomorrow

You're not the only one. If I'm using a wcs that I have created, the squash function looks back to the original system wcs to determine the z depth. There's a few other minor glitches with using the wcs in some trimming operations and also transforming toolpaths. Anybody know if these will be ready in 9.1?

.. when it goes back to the original system view to calc the depth, it seems it's not even getting the depth right there.

You're right. I just tried it and I don't know what it is actually using to get it's depth I guess I just assumed it was...

 

I just squash what I need to and translate it up to the z level I want it at after.

I think that i have ran in to that before. Is what I did to get around it was save the file then reopen it. That seemed to work after that.

the beta v9.1 right? I was excited a box just came from Mastercam i thought that it was v9.1 but it was just a tee shirt. not that i dont like getting a tee shirt, it is the first item that i have gotten from MC that has not been a mouse pad. but i was hoping it was v 9.1.
