Hi ,Mikhael !

How are you doing?

Regarding Iscar they have really good tools.

But comparing them with Seco they can not work with such feeds like them.

The Iscar representative came to me once and said :

I ready to compete with any SECO tool you have.

So I showed him my seco inserted tool 35 dia with 3 round inserts 12 mm .

I do with it mostly roughing on my Deckel -Maho DMC63V (which is weak machine IMHO )with 2500 rounds 7500mm min taking cut of 0.7 every time (pocketing} cooling with air.

The tool`s length with a holder 120 mm a holder tapered from30 to 38 mm

Well he give me the tool wich was far shorter but anyway he couldn`t even stand the feed of 5000 mm /min.

What I found that DIJEt is far cheeper than SECO here but the feeds in catalog are no worse then SECO !

That`s why I am asking about them.

I tried dijet yesterday :

Bull nose dia 16 mm 2 round inserts 7 mm dia JC5003 insert grade on Molrex HRC 53

S8000 rpm f2800 mm/min doWnstep 0.3 mm sidestep 6 mm ,coolant -air .

It was real high speed machining : tool is cold ,part is cold ,40 min for work of 2-3 hours and inserts are as new - SUPERCOOL !!!

Seco and Iscar far too slower .

I DECIDED TO MILL HARDENED STEELS ONLY WITH DIJET .

And they are not expenSive tools .

Iskander looking for new ideas smile.gif
