  1. My arctype$ is already set to "1". Any other ideas? I can always call my reseller.....but the forum seems a little easier and faster. Thanks
  2. Well I have had X2 on my computor for what a year now or so and have decided to dive right in! I am having a problem with my Dynapath post. It is posting "R" values for arcs and I need "I,J&K" I looked over my post and it seems ok to me, is there some screen in the control manager that controls this? Or is it a post issue? I updated this post from V9. Any help would be great! Jack
  3. Just my 2 cents...... Depending on anual part usage anything more than 1000/2000 pcs. I would not waste my time with A2. The price of D2 "60/62RC" is not that much more and the return is greater with less maintenace. The thing about stamping alum is it like to slug pack in the die openings. Look at the consruction of the punch as well small punches might need to be guideed or strenghened up. Punch and die clearance should start at 10% per side with that material thickness.
  4. I am trying to use the tk setup sheet that I founfd on the ftp site. I can get all to work except for putting the part image in. I know it is not alot of info but I have been at it for a few hrs. now. time to go home I hope someone has an idea I can try in the a.m. Thanks in advance, Jack
  5. Like I said I am not looking fora "free" post just some information because we are still using V9 for wire. Thanks, Jack
  6. AFIT, That is good advice to call my reseller. I was not looking for a post but some advice. By the way that was our robo post that was e-mailed to you. I hope you could use it. Jack Kalal Tella Tool
  7. I did not know there was a post to create cmd. files let alone a post that did both .iso & .cmd files. Are they available on the cd? or for V9. maybe I should call my reseller. Jack
  8. Hey! I put the comma in and it work......looks great! Thanks guys! Jack

  12. I want to place a misc real value in side of a coment area in my okmua post. We use a indexer and right now we we edit in comments at the M182 line so the setup guys can program the indexer at the machine. See last line of sample. 13. Thanks for the input guys. We have talked about a Haas. Jack
  14. We are looking to add another horizontal cnc. We already have a Okmuma and Mitz. We want a cat50 with 500mm - 630mm pallet with travel of at least 32" X 28" & 23" in Z. High speed spindle and all the goodies. Of course $$$$ is always the issue. I thought maybe some of you guys might have some input on what machines in the mid price range are good. Thanks, Jack
  15. Just happy that the problem is gone!!! Jack
  16. I did not realize the that entity defaulted to center. I will check that again....thanks! Mask on arc is good if you designer has drawn his holes sizes are all different. What is a 3/8 screw and 3/8 dowel are the same size? adda clearance hole the same size and you have a mess. I tend to do alot of big die sets that have hundreds of holes and mask on arc has helped big time....but I need to be carefull. Jack
  17. How is everyone picking there holes to drill? I used to pick Drill- Manual- Center then pick all my holes. In X it seems like it is missing something or I am not seeing it. I never used to use auto cursor but in X I feel like that is the only choice and I am not used to it yet. Seems like alot more clicks...what am i missing? Mask on arc seems to work about the same and I do use this on big die sets with hundreds of holes and it works good.
  18. Yes I have Mcam X MR1. That did the trick1
  19. I thought clicking on the green check would save my changes...but I tried clicking on the actual disk icon and it did save all my changes. 1 down many more to go!!! Thanks for all the help guys! Jack
  20. Thanks guys just talked to my reseller and had the same responce. I added the ascii code 36 in my control definition and all is well!!! Hey I am also have trouble saving my control definition after changing them.
  21. I did a search for "$" on my V9 post on did not find the $ sign at all. What are other guys with Dynapaths using? Mine wil not load a program without it. Jack
  22. Iam just now trying to get X up and running and have run into my first problem. My Dynapath post is not post ing out right. I have put a call in to our reseller but thought maybe I could get ahead start here. Any ideas? How come every time you sit down to try and work on something new like this everyone needs some thing...I thought I had a slow day today... go figure. Jack
  23. Funny this topic should come up today! We are battleing the same thing here! Our mazak does not like a positive # when programming with wear....all kinds of error messages, but seems to work with a neg #. Spent all day yesterday on 1 program because of this and 2 tool tables. I do not understand what the big deal is running eia programs in a mazak. It is like pulling teeth around here...all I hear is Mazatrol this and Mazatrol that......is this really that big a deal? I like my comp in the computer... but if I have to use it I like wear best. My two cents, Jack Kalal
  24. The problem is not at the machine but rather the post is not out putting the G41/G42 codes. I did take the operator some time to realize thew tool table are different at the control. Jack
