O/T new bridge machine

The cheif of cheifs here at work, asked for my .02on this machine ,,and I am not familiar with it. I was hopeing some of you guys may be running one.

Unless its planned as as 2-3 year disposable machine, STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!

No idea about the machine, but the name has got to go. I could never own any machine with a name like that; I'd crack up every time I walked by it... Mighty Viper... are we compensating for something?

A GIANT step up would be a Haas or Fadel. If you really want to make a wise purchase, MoriSeki, Matsuura, etc... that is the way to go .

Do any of you guys have one on your floor?

Or has any of you programed for one?

We need to have this travle to cut simple large plates,so we need the Y travle that the bridge provides.I don't see the travel with Haas and Fadal, and the equivilant MoriSeki, Matsuura, etc will be four times the money. What other brands have the travle ,without the 8 hundy price tag?

I don't think they are trying to compensate for any kind of ("Standard white guy issue") issues.

I have used this machine it works well.

this should be the Fifty tapper if I remember?

 

Used it to cut some big areospace hog outs.

Scott, try checking out Komo, or Milltronics for low $ and big travel. I'm sure theres more and depending on what you are cutting there are a lot of strickly wood routers out there.

I believe Kitamura carries a bridge center that might be in your price range. Worth checking.
